We are reaching out to inform you of an important update from Iridium Communications regarding upcoming adjustments to its telephony service pricing. These changes will take effect starting July 1, 2025, and will impact a broad range of postpaid, prepaid, and Push-To-Talk (PTT) service plans.

🔺 Why This Change?

Iridium has cited evolving operational costs, infrastructure investments, and ongoing improvements to global satellite communication capabilities as key reasons for the price increases. While we at Apollo Satellite remain committed to offering the best possible service and support, we want to ensure you are fully informed and prepared for these changes.

📦 What Plans Will Be Affected?

The following categories of Iridium service plans will be impacted:

1. Postpaid Airtime Plans

Starting July 1, 2025, Iridium will increase the Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC) for the majority of its current and legacy postpaid airtime plans. These include:

  • Iridium Voice & Data Plans
  • Regional and Crew-specific Plans
  • Iridium GO! and GO! Unlimited
  • Unlimited ISU-ISU calling plans
  • Iridium Push-To-Talk (PTT) Telephony
Note: Paging services will also experience pricing adjustments starting August 1, 2025.

2. Prepaid Airtime Vouchers

Most existing prepaid airtime vouchers—including those used with Iridium GO!—will also see price increases beginning July 1, 2025.

These adjustments may affect:

  • Number of minutes included
  • Validity period
  • Cost of voucher renewal or refill

3. Push-To-Talk (PTT) Unlimited Talkgroups

Beginning January 1, 2026, Iridium will introduce an MRC (Monthly Recurring Charge) for the Small Unlimited Promo PTT talkgroup, which had previously been offered without this charge. This change will apply to both existing and new talkgroups.
